4+ weeks in the making, but I finally finished (one side) of my Spring Banner- the other side, if it ever gets finished, will spell out the word Easter. But at this point, after a very busy spring break week I am just happy to have completed this:Each shape is a chipboard element from a variety of mini-books I picked up at Michael's in their dollar bins.
This house shape is covered in Earth Love paper from Cosmo Cricket, the s is made from Making Memories ribbon, the bird is Maya Road, painted red, mod-podged and embellished with tiny pearls- each shape is outlined with Rock Candy stickles from Tim Holtz. This scalloped-square is covered with Umbrella paper from My Mind's Eye, the P is from Anna Griffin, the umbrella is hand cut from some older Christmas paper, the handle is a stick-pin from Jenni Bowlin. The cloud is covered in paper from Earth Love by Cosmo Cricket embellished with some tiny yellow pearls, the r is cut from an ABC card by K & Company that has been punched with a Fiskars apron border punch. The ticket shape is covered in bee/honeycomb paper from Basic Grey, the bee tag from Making Memories, the letter i is hand cut- the dot above the i is punched with a Martha Stewart button punch, the gold rub-on is from Jenni Bowlin. The flower is covered in papers are from Jenni Bowlin, the letter n made from Making Memories stick pins from their vintage findings collection. This scalloped oval shape from Tinkering Ink is covered in paper from the Early Bird collection by Cosmo Cricket, various flowers by Prima, the g card is by 7gypsies.Looking forward to getting back into (or starting a new) routine, been fighting a cold, hampered outside by the pouring rain, and realizing that my first "stuff" purge of the spring needs a second round. But still eternally optimistic that an extra hour might just be found somewhere during the day and I intend to use it wisely.
